Meet Deby Ziesmer
My name is Deby Ziesmer and I am a consultant with over 30 years experience in early childhood education, nonprofit leadership, and coaching. Prior to consulting, I spent 23 years as a Vice President of the largest accredited nonprofit early childhood program in the region.
I offer a wide range of services – from training in diversity, anti-bias, teacher preparation and social media blueprints to helping define board strategy and coaching entrepreneurs.
I specialize in helping organizations achieve their strategic plan and optimize current funding streams. Above all, constantly seeking ways to create sustainable and diverse revenue streams. Which both creates immediate relief financially as well as helps to secure a future for the organization.
After a successful career in nonprofit leadership and Early Childhood Education, I now coach others to achieve the same success. This career includes service on boards and committees. Both at the local and national level. I spent four years serving on the National Association for the Education of Young Children’s accreditation Council. This council advises the academy and helps set the quality standards across the country for early childhood programs.
I am no stranger to navigating the challenges faced by organizations. I spent 11 years leading a multimillion dollar department with 180 employees. Both writing and implementing policy that helps organizations run smoothly, which is critical for the success of any organization.
I brought to publication the book, Anti-Bias Curriculum for the Preschool Classroom being published by Redleaf Press. The Curriculum has helped hundreds of children and teachers each year to learn how to celebrate culture and discuss bias in a developmentally appropriate manner, thus instilling in others skills that prepares them for future success.
